Author’s Note

Dear Readers,

I won’t plague you with my resume except to tell you that I am an Atlanta resident and a transplanted ingrate from the great state of New Jersey.

But every novel is an autobiography since we write from our perspective and experiences. Products of our earlier lives are we.

Everything is fodder—for free.

You may have heard you shouldn’t publish a first book. Some take that to heart and scrap all their hard work. There lies potential, sitting in a drawer.

It’s a learning experience, and you may want to keep starting over with your newfound knowledge. But at some point, say, after twelve or fourteen years, you gotta stop. Get someone else’s fresh eyes on it.

The hardest part of writing is putting pen to paper (or fingers to keys) and declaring your first word. This is not a baby step; it’s an enormous step. If you are writing in your head, give it a shot. You might surprise yourself.

Many thanks for your interest and keep an eye out for a sequel. It’s in a drawer here somewhere.
