Jedediah Berry
Jedediah Berry was raised in the Hudson Valley region of New York State. His first novel, The Manual of Detection, won the Crawford Award and the Hammett Prize, and was adapted for broadcast by BBC Radio. The book was a finalist for the New York Public Library Young Lions Fiction Award, a Locus Award, and France’s Prix Bob Morane. It has been published in a dozen languages.
His story in cards, “The Family Arcana,” was published as a poker deck by Ninepin Press, and was a finalist for a World Fantasy Award. His other works of short fiction appear online at Tor.com and Interfictions; in journals including Conjunctions, Massachusetts Review, Chicago Review, and Fairy Tale Review; and in anthologies including Best American Fantasy, Year’s Best Science Fiction & Fantasy, Best Bizarro Fiction of the Decade, Salon Fantastique, and Cape Cod Noir.
Jedediah is the author of interactive fiction games including “Fabricationist DeWit Remakes the World,“ which was commissioned by TEDxCERN. He designs tabletop adventure games for Phantom Mill Games.
He is a senior editor of Conjunctions, and he has served on the editorial staff of presses and publications including PEN America, jubilat, and Small Beer Press. He lives in Western Massachusetts.
