Marcia Talley

Marcia Talley

Marcia Talley’s first Hannah Ives novel, Sing It to Her Bones, won the Malice Domestic Grant in 1998 and was nominated for an Agatha Award as Best First Novel of 1999. Unbreathed Memories, the second in the series, won the Romantic Times Reviewers’ Choice Award for Best Contemporary Mystery of 2000. Both were Featured Alternates of the Mystery Guild. Hannah’s third adventure, Occasion of Revenge, was released in August 2001 and is a Romantic Times Top Pick. Marcia is also the editor of a collaborative serial novel, Naked Came the Phoenix, where she joins twelve best-selling women authors to pen a tongue- in-cheek mystery about murder in an exclusive health spa. A second collaboration, Naked Came the Gryphon, set in an upscale gated community, will be published in 2003. Marcia's short stories have appeared in magazines and collections including "With Love, Marjorie Ann", a 1999 Agatha Award nominee and "Too Many Cooks" which won the Agatha Award for Best Short Story of 2002. Marcia lives in Annapolis, Maryland with her husband, Barry, a professor at the U.S. Naval Academy. When she isn’t writing, she spends her time traveling or sailing. Marcia and her husband recently returned from the Bahamas where they lived for six months aboard Troubadour, their 37- foot sailboat.
