Pseudonym: Laura Renken.

In the past, I've written westerns for Leisure under Lori Morgan and Pirate adventure books for Berkley under Laura Renken. I like to think of myself as a passionate believer in happy endings. My books have been three times nominated by Romantic Times, and Heart of the Condor won the Affaire de Couer, Best Swashbuckling and Best Foreign historical (story that takes place outside England) for 2003. Indigo Moon was a HOLT medallion winner and, My Lord Pirate, a 1999 Golden Heart Finalist, which launched my publishing career with Berkley. I live in the Chicago area where I currently serve as president for the Windy City RWA chapter. Currently, I pen stories for AVON/HarperCollins under my name, Melody Thomas, and am very excited to announce that I've signed on for four books over the next two years. Must Have Been the Moonlight, was a Dec 04 release. Match Made in Scandal will appear on shelves in December 2005. This new series is about a rags to riches Irish family that dares turn upper British Society on its heels. What they'll find is love, and a renewed faith that the heart has the power to conquer all. A little bit of suspense and a lot of passion make for fun reading.
