Michael J. Tyger

Forty acres is a good-sized piece of land to grow up on. There are so many things to keep a child busy. In this world, Michael Jeremiah Tyger observed and recorded his experiences within the report of his heart. He learned of the dichotomy of nature and mankind as he saw the beauty of the woodland and the tragedy of a nearby trash dump. He found the harmony of the time he spent alone and the disharmony of invading and alien people. There he developed love for a story of the struggle between these clashing worlds.

Next his life would thrust him into the strange and foreign landscape of the city when moved there by circumstances beyond his control. His survival depended on learning their customs and imitating them as best he could. He began to see the pattern of life in an urban setting and how the inhabitants interacted there. The challenges it brought would stretch his system of belief and insist on making him change his routines. New and mysterious people became his friends. They were each a study in the uniqueness of the human race.

In time and trial, his maturity would be developed through service and work in settings he had never imagined. Regarded as less than average due to his reserved nature, he grew in wisdom, hidden from the view of most. But a time came when the quiet stage was set, and he would emerge to play a role in destiny. Seen as a surprising reminder of the unpredictability of life, he excelled in all he put his heart into.

Yet his heart was never fully engaged until the nights when he would take up his pen. There his passion was stronger than when he was caught up in any other pursuit. In that place, he seemed to be back at home, on those forty acres and free to express a view on the world that no other person quite realized. It was then that his journey truly began.
