Michael Libling is a World Fantasy Award finalist whose short fiction has appeared in The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, Asimov’s Science Fiction, Realms of Fantasy, The Year’s Best Fantasy & Horror, The Year’s Best Science Fiction & Fantasy, and many others. The Serial Killer’s Son Takes a Wife is his latest novel. Published by WordFire Press, this off-kilter thriller/mystery features elements of romance, fantasy, and horror. Reviewers have called it "sharp, funny, and endlessly original" and "a terrifying and hilarious...small-town crime thriller." Libling’s first novel, Hollywood North: A Novel in Six Reels, is a poignant coming-of-age tale set in his old hometown of Trenton, Ontario and inspired by true events, most notably the town’s bizarre history as Canada’s first Hollywood North. A former ad agency creative director, Montrealers know Michael as the creator and former host of the long-running CJAD Trivia Show in Montreal. The father of three daughters, he lives on Montreal’s West Island with his wife, Pat, and a big black dog named Piper. Among other things, Libling claims to be one of only a handful of North American authors who has never owned a cat.
