Karen E Stokes

Karen’s literary journey began in 2010, when she began writing purely to see where it would lead.  This resulted in the publication of her first novel in 2014, a biographical work titled ‘An Ordinary Life’ by Karen Smith, rather than a pen name.

The Healing was published in July 2020, satisfying Karen’s burning desire to write a ghost story that challenged the reader’s awareness of those who secretly remain in our lives whether or not they believed in ghosts.

Writing opens the mind and inspiration is everywhere, including the works of Karen’s favourite authors, which include Fay Weldon, Martis Amis and James Rice.
