Alisa Lynn Valdés is a New York Times, USA Today and Amazon No. 1 bestselling author in the suspense/thriller, commercial women's fiction and young adult space. With a bachelor's degree in jazz performance on the tenor saxophone from Berklee College of Music, and a master's in journalism from Columbia University, Alisa spent ten years as an award-winning journalist for the Boston Globe and Los Angeles Times before turning to novels. She lives in New Mexico, where she was born and where her Spanish and indigenous maternal roots go back at least 13 generations. Her father was born in the nation of Cuba, and moved to New Mexico at the age of 15.
