Sheila Buff

Sheila Buff is a highly experienced writer, ghostwriter, developmental editor, and book doctor for books, articles, blogs, websites, and other written materials in consumer-oriented medicine and health. She specializes in working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create accessible, informative material on medical topics for the general reader. Eight of her books have been national bestsellers; many have been Amazon bestsellers, top sellers, and #1 new releases.

When she’s not writing about health and medicine, Sheila writes about birdwatching, gardening, the outdoors, and the Hudson Valley. She is the author of NYS Canalway Water Trail Guidebook, the official paddling guide to the Erie Canal system, published in 2019. With her husband Joe, she is the coauthor of You Bet Your Life: Your Guide to Deadly Risk, published by Abbeville Press in July 2022.

Sheila Buff lives in the small town of Milan in the beautiful mid-Hudson Valley with her husband Joe and their dog Daisy. She is a graduate of Washington Square College at New York University, where she was a University Scholar and received the Alfred Bush Baer Award as outstanding English major of her class.
