"I always wanted to write romances. I read them, and our mom loved her soap operas. But at night, the family watched so many mystery and detective television shows, I was influenced to go in a different direction when I began writing my novels."

C.L. Bauer's professional background began in sports journalism, editing, and eventually public relations, and advertising. Her first cozy mysteries, A Lily List Mystery Series, debuted with The Poppy Drop. A spin off series, A Lily List Mystery Exclusive introduced popular secondary characters in their own mystery adventures. These two series feature stories based on true events from the flower, wedding, and event worlds. C.L. Bauer knows them all well. She is the current owner of award winning Clara's Flowers, her family's well known Kansas City, Missouri business.

This Kansas City native is beginning a new series Charlotte's Voices of Mystery which incorporates her love of mystery and romance with a little paranormal. This is naughtier than your usual cozy, and with the introduction of the spirit world, you'll never know what or who is just around the corner. In her every day life, she tries to take time for family, good food, travel (when she can), a great cup of coffee while she reads, and those Kansas City Chiefs!
