Sam Blake

Award winning author Sam Blake has been writing fiction since her husband set sail across the Atlantic for eight weeks and she had an idea for a book. Her debut novel 'Little Bones' (Bonnier 2016) was a runaway bestseller. Across all her books Sam has been a multiple Irish Times No 1, multiple Eason No 1 bestseller, and a Sunday Times bestseller. All her adult books have gone into the Irish Times Top ten and she has been shortlisted for the Irish Book Awards five times, winning the International Education Services Teen/YA Novel of the Year in 2024 with her second YA novel 'Something's About to Blow Up.' (Her first YA novel 'Something Terrible Happened Last Night was shortlisted for the same award in 2023.)

Sam is originally from St. Albans in Hertfordshire but has lived at the foot of the Wicklow mountains, for more years than she lived in the UK.
