Nick Medina

Nick Medina is a Chicago-born horror author and member of the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana. Drawing on Native culture, folklore, history, and storytelling traditions, Medina writes supernatural fiction that blends chilling legends with contemporary social issues.

He is the author of SISTERS OF THE LOST NATION, a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection; INDIAN BURIAL GROUND, named one of Parade’s best horror books of 2024; and THE WHISTLER, called “truly spooky” by People and named one of Men’s Health’s best horror novels of 2025.

Through his fiction, Medina explores the intersections of myth and reality, past and present, and the stories that shape communities across generations. When he isn’t writing, he enjoys ghost stories, playing guitar, staying fit, and spending time with his family.
