After ten years as a filmmaker, Randi Triant received her MFA in writing and literature from Bennington College. She grew up on Long Island, a bike ride away from Jones Beach where she spent every minute that she could. Now, she lives at the very tip of Cape Cod in Provincetown, Massachusetts, with her wife and their three rescued animals: two cats and a terrier who looks like Snowy, Tintin’s dog. Sometimes the beasts get along and other times they act as if they’ve never seen each other before.
Randi’s forthcoming LGBTQ+ coming of age novel, What We Give, What We Take, will be published by She Writes Press in April 2022 and is available for pre-order at Amazon, Bookshop, Barnes & Noble, and bookstores everywhere, including hometown favorites, East End Books Ptown and Porter Square Books.
Her psychological suspense novel, A New Life, was an Amazon LGBTQ+ Mystery and LGBTQ+ Family Life Fiction Bestseller in its first month of release.
Randi’s debut novel, The Treehouse, was included in AfterEllen’s 2018 “Your Ultimate Gay Girl Summer Reading List.”
Randi’s nonfiction and fiction have appeared in literary journals and magazines. Most recently, her flash fiction “Two in the Morning” was published in the visual arts and literature magazine Woven Tale Press. Her short story “Never, Ever Bring This Up Again” was also selected for inclusion in ImageOutWrite Volume 7 edited by Jessica Heatly in 2018. ImageOut is New York’s longest-running LGBTQ film festival.
Randi has taught writing at Emerson College and Boston College.
