Rob Osler

Rob Osler

Rob Osler writes traditional mysteries featuring LGBTQ+ main characters. His new series, Harriet Morrow Investigates, features a lesbian detective solving crimes in Chicago in America’s Progressive Era. Rob also writes the comedic, contemporary Hayden & Friends Mystery series, and Perry Winkle Whodunits, a short story series in Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine. Believing that relatability is as important as representation, he strives to showcase our shared humanity across individual identities. Rob’s work has been a finalist for the Edgar (MISS DIRECTION, A Perry Winkle Whodunit), Anthony, Agatha, Lefty, and Macavity Awards, a Crime Reads Best of the Year (Hayden & Friends: DEVIL’S CHEW TOY), and a winner of the Mystery Writers of America Robert L Fish Award (ANALOGUE). After living in Boise, Chicago, and Seattle, Rob resides in California with his husband and a tall gray cat.
