Sanaa Xu

Hello readers. I go by Sanaa Xu. I'm an author. I'm a single mother of an 18 year old son. I was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania and was raised in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. I spent my summers exploring Philadelphia with my sister and our good friend. My childhood was a bit rocky, as we were a poor family in a rich neighborhood. I cultivated my imagination as a way to escape my every day life. Even though times were difficult, I still look back fondly because I learned a lot about the world in that time and the type of person I wanted to be as I walked through it. I want to uplift women who might feel disenfranchised and ignored. I want to shine light on beautiful and loving relationships with black women. I want to remind little girls of color that they are more than what society may say they are. Each person has a unique voice and deserves to be heard. I want to turn stereotypes on their heads and remind the world that people of color are each unique individuals with their own stories. That's my dream. I hope you'll join me.
