Al Ewing is the creator of The Ultimate Future Shock and periodic contributor to the comic's Terror Tales and Future Shorts series, variations on their classic Future Shocks format. Ewing's work appeared in the 2000AD Winter Special 2005, a compendium of up and coming British comics creators. Recent work includes the 3-part Go-Machine serial, Tempest, his first series for the Judge Dredd Megazine, and Dead Signal, illustrated by P. J. Holden, which recently ran in 2000AD.
He has also contributed to Solar Wind, FutureQuake and The End Is Nigh. Al is also responsible for the diary of Ralph Dibny.
Current comics projects include Hulk for Panini Comics' new title Marvel Heroes and the mobile comic Murderdrome with P. J. Holden.
Al's debut novel was published in 2007 by Abaddon Books. Pax Britannia: El Sombra features a mysterious Mexican hero fighting back against the menace of steam-powered Nazis. It is set in the same Steampunk alternate history as the other novels from the Pax Britannia series. A second, unrelated, novel for Abaddon was recently published with the title I, Zombie.
