Laura Jensen Walker
Laura Jensen Walker is a former journalist and the author of 19 books (so far). She flew a typewriter across Europe in her twenties with Uncle Sam’s Air Force and became a rabid Anglophile after being stationed in England. Laura formerly wrote humorous non-fiction (Thanks for the Mammogram!) and fun and frothy chick-lit novels (Dreaming in Black & White, Reconstructing Natalie.) Whether writing fiction or non-fiction, the one constant in Laura’s books has always been humor. After more than a decade away from publishing, Laura's excited to be back and writing in a new genre—cozy mysteries!
Laura is the author of The Bookish Baker Mystery Series and the Faith Chapel Mystery Series with Crooked Lane Books. Her first Bookish Baker Mystery, Murder Most Sweet, has been called “fearlessly funny.” Her second cozy, Hope, Faith, & a Corpse, was selected by BookPage as one of its Top 10 books for January 2021 and has been called “the perfect cozy.” Deadly Delights, her second Bookish Baker Mystery releases in June 2021. Laura is a member of Sisters in Crime and Mystery Writers of America. She lives in Northern California, but dreams of someday living in a stone cottage in the English countryside.
