Alka Joshi

After 30 years in advertising, Alka Joshi turned to writing with debut, The Henna Artist, a NYT bestseller and Reese Witherspoon Pick. Longlisted for the "Center for Fiction First Novel Prize," and translated into 30 languages, it's being developed as a feature film. Two successful sequels followed: The Secret Keeper of Jaipur and The Perfumist of Paris before the release of Six Days in Bombay. Her 5th novel, Daughters of the Pink City, will release March 2, 2027. Alka is a Forbes 50 Over 50 Lister. Born in India, Alka came to the U.S. at nine. She has a BA from Stanford University and an MFA from CCA.
