Steven Goldstein
Steven Goldstein is a civil rights leader who began his career as a television news producer, winning ten Emmys, before becoming a producer for Oprah Winfrey. He worked as a lawyer for the U.S. House Judiciary Committee and as a communications director in he U.S. Senate before becoming a strategist for leaders in politics, business, and entertainment. He was the founding Executive Director of Garden State Equality, New Jersey’s statewide organization for LGBT equality, where his work was chronicled in an Academy Award-winning documentary. He later served as the Executive Director of the Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect, the national civil and human rights organization. He has taught law and political science at Rutgers University, and is currently studying for the rabbinate at the Academy for Jewish Religion in New York.
