Vicki Salloum

Vicki Salloum was born and raised in Gulfport, Mississippi. She is the second of three children (only daughter) born to Joseph Najeeb Salloum and Yvonne Koury Salloum. Vicki was a staff writer for three newspapers, including The Miami Herald. She began writing fiction when she was in her late 30s. Her four published novels are WAITING FOR YOU AT MIDNIGHT, released in 2018 by Moonshine Cove of Abbeville, South Carolina; CANDYLAND, published in 2016 by Moonshine Cove; FAULKNER & FRIENDS, published in 2014 by Underground Voices of Los Angeles, California; and A PRAYER TO SAINT JUDE, released in 2012 by Main Street Rag of Charlotte, North Carolina. Her short fiction has been included in the anthologies When I Am An Old Woman I Shall Wear Purple (Papier-Mache Press); Pass/Fail: 32 Stories About Teaching (Red Sky Books); Voices From the Couch (America House); and Umpteen Ways of Looking at a Possum: Critical and Creative Responses to Everette Maddox (Xavier Review Press). Vicki has lived in New Orleans for many years with her husband, the late Wayne Joseph Holley. She holds an MFA in creative writing from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
