Bobby Brown

Robert ''Bobby'' Barisford Brown is a Grammy Award-winning R&B singer-songwriter, occasional rapper, actor, and dancer. Brown began his career as a member of New Edition, which he founded along with childhood friend Michael Bivins. The group's hits with Brown included the #1 ''Candy Girl'', ''Cool It Now'', and ''Mr. Telephone Man.'' Brown launched his solo career in 1987, going on to release five albums, one remix album, and a string of Top 10 Billboard hits, including the #1 Billboard Hot 100 Single ''My Prerogative.'' He is a pioneer of New Jack Swing music, a fusion of hip hop and R&B.
