Mimi Cross

Mimi Cross was born in Toronto, Canada and received a BM from Ithaca College and an MA from New York University. She has been a performer, a music educator, and worked briefly in the music industry. She is the creator of Body of Writing, a practice combining yoga and writing, and is currently working on several YA novels. She is represented by Danielle Burby of HSG Agency, hsgagency.com. Grammy award winning artist Rosanne Cash describes the music of singer/songwriter/guitarist Mimi Cross: "Mimi fuses delicacy and power, heart and gut. A two time Asbury Music Award winner, Mimi has shared the bill with well known artists such as Sting, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Lauryn Hill, Chris Whitley, Jill Sobule, Mae Moore, Loudon Wainwright III, Peter Himmelman and Nicole Atkins. More than anything else she likes to perform for the benefit of others. She has played shows with many other New Jersey musicians including Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi to raise funds for various charities. Mimi lives in New Jersey where she recently opened Two River Yoga, an intimate space dedicated to personalized private yoga sessions and Body of Writing.
