Danielle L. McGuire
Danielle L. McGuire is an award-winning historian. She hails from Janesville, Wisconsin and is an Associate Professor of History at Wayne State University in Detroit. She specializes in the civil rights movement, 20th century American history and African-American history. She has two children and lives with her husband in metro Detroit. At the Dark End of the Street won the 2011 Frederick Jackson Turner Award, the 2011 Lillian Smith Award, and the 2011 Julia Cherry Spruill Award.
