Peter Wong

Peter has been involved with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) research and education throughout his career as a former professor at Tufts University (Medford, MA), curriculum developer at the Museum of Science (Boston, MA), founder of K2 Enrichment After School Program (Newton, MA), former board member of the Massachusetts State Science and Engineering Fair, and now as co-founder of Tumblehome Learning (Boston, MA). Through his work with Tumblehome Learning, he is developing products that can inspire children to learn STEM through exciting adventure books, hands-on activities, and new technologies. He has a passion to make STEM a part of everyone's lives whether in school, after school, at home, or outside at play. Peter was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. His primary and secondary education were in the Boston Public School system, and he graduated from Boston Latin School. He studied Mechanical Engineering at Tufts University and received his bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees from there. Peter continues his lifelong learning in technical topics (e.g., thermal processing, comparative biomechanics, biomedical devices, and nanotechnology) and educational areas (e.g., STEM education, professional development for teachers, and informal science education). He enjoys cooking classic dishes and modern cuisines using the latest techniques and technologies (e.g., sous vide, culinary whipper, and liquid nitrogen).
