Dikkon Eberhart

Dikkon Eberhart

Dikkon Eberhart is the son of the Pulitzer Prize-winning former United States Poet Laureate, Richard Eberhart. He grew up in various college settings where his father was Poet in Residence. His family's long academic summers were always spent on the coast of Maine, on Penobscot Bay, and Maine is where he has resolved to live year round. His early writing includes two novels, ON THE VERGE and PARADISE, and, later, many years of newspaper feature writing. His career was in sales, direct sales to lawyers for publishers in the legal marketplace, principally for Thomson/West. He retired from legal sales in 2011, and devotes his time to writing. His new memoir recounts his relationship with his poet father and how that relationship brought him contact with many famous writers, actors, singers, and others in the arts, while at the same time it affected his relationship with our ultimate Father. Dikkon and his wife live in a small Maine coast town and have four adult children and two grandchildren.
