Anne Knol

Anne Knol

Anne Knol trained as a news reporter and features writer. Her career started in Glasgow on the Sunday Post and Sunday Mail before she moved to work on the newsdesk of the Sunday Express in the good old days of Fleet Street. After four years as a freelance in the Algarve, she returned to London and started teaching. She has alternated between teaching and writing for local newspapers ever since, but now has her dream job editing for publishers in Canada and North America. Unfinished manuscripts fill filing cabinets, bookshelves, spill out from under desks, and from shoeboxes under beds. Her husband, who has put up with her threats to write a book for the past forty years, politely pointed out there might not be much time left. "At forty years per book," he said, "I won't be alive to see the next one." Shriekweek, a very wee book, is the first of the Creektown Chronicles set on a fictional insert into the Isle of Wight. The next in the series is due out in 2015.
