Cathy Strasser

Cathy Strasser is an Occupational Therapist and freelance writer with over 25 years of experience working in the school system. Her first book, An Uncertain Grave, has just been published by Oak Tree Press. It is a humorous hiking mystery set in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Prior to having her book published, her short story β€œAfterward”, published in the Chrysalis Reader, has been nominated for the 2007 Pushcart Prize – Best of Small Presses. Cathy has also had weekly columns published in the Caledonian Record and the Bangor Daily News, and has been a columnist in the Burlington Free Press. She has had short stories published in the Mom Writer’s Literary Magazine, The Literary Bone, Touched By Wonder Anthology, r-kv-r-y quarterly and was a finalist in the β€œFamily Matters” competition of Glimmer Train Magazine; as well as a two article series in Cabin Life Magazine. Cathy is a member of The New Hampshire Writer’s Project. She lives in Sugar Hill, New Hampshire with her husband and is currently working on her second book.
