Patrick Kelley

I wrote this book using voice recognition software, as I am no longer able to use my hands or legs. I am what medical experts call "a high functioning paraplegic." I'll take that as a compliment. I have enlisted the brain of my wife Melody Rogers to help me keep my stories straight. This book came to be because I spoke into a microphone, but it's not the type of microphone I used at radio stations. It's a microphone you use when speaking into a software program that translates voice commands into text. Who'd-a thunk it? In December, 2003 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, so this book was first typed by voice command. Not long ago, people around Los Angeles often recognized me. I was on the radio, on a rocking, ground-breaking station that got a lot of attention. And people all over the world always recognized Melody Rogers. She was on television, and played the mother of heartthrob, Zach, on NBC's "Saved by the Bell," which became an international hit. She also won four Emmys co-hosting the CBS television show, "2 On The Town." Even I have to agree, all modesty aside, that we were quite the couple. This book shares our story in life thus far.
