James Copnall
James Copnall is a journalist who has spent most of his career as a foreign correspondent. He was the BBC correspondent for Ivory Coast (2004-7), Morocco (2008-9) and Sudan and South Sudan (2009-12). He has reported from over 20 African countries, covering the independence of South Sudan, wars in Ivory Coast and the Sudans (including Darfur), the African film festival Fespaco, and two soccer World Cups. He is now based in his home town of London.
