I have always loved books. My mother read to me and I inhaled the words and rhythms of Mother Goose and Thornton Burgess. Growing up I fell in love with authors like E.B.White, Robert Louis Stevenson and Frances Burnett. As a teenager I discovered the works of Mary Steward, Daphne du Maurier and Mignon Eberhardt. Working as an elementary teacher, I tried to share my love of books with my students. I have always written, submitted manuscripts, grown discouraged and tried again. My turning point came when I won a scholarship to the Antioch Writers' Workshop, took a class with Jennifer Crusie and joined the Romance Writers of America. My romance Marriage Made in Haven was published in 2012 as an e-book. My novels Return of the Dixie Deb and A Man to Waste Time On have been published by the Wild Rose Press.
