Carolyn Dingman grew up in the nomadic, wandering lifestyle of an Air Force family living among the long-range bombers of the Strategic Air Command in Omaha, outrunning the mental patients from the Veterans Hospital in Biloxi, attempting to skateboard in Huntington Beach, learning how to negotiate being dropped into six different elementary schools over the years, and knowing although not admitting for a long time that when her father retired from active service he had actually been working for some time in the CIA.

She attended Clemson University in South Carolina, where she majored in Architecture and minored in social events involving beer. In 1992 she moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she worked in the Architectural field until 1999 when she chose to stay home with her first child.

In 2006 she began to channel her creative energy into writing with her personal blog, Carolyn...Online. She enjoyed being an active member of the blogging tribe for several years before closing the blog in 2010 to concentrate on writing her debut novel, CANCEL THE WEDDING, which is being published by HarperCollins.

She currently lives in her adopted hometown of Atlanta with her husband, their two daughters, one rescued dog of curious persuasion, and a Beta fish that everyone is hoping is at the end of its lifespan. Because if not then it's a zombie and that presents whole different set of
