When Prince William married Catherine Middleton, Aven Ellis not only took the day off of work to watch it live on American television, but hosted a party for 15 people to celebrate it the next day. So why would a woman in Texas decorate her home with the Union Jack, serve champagne and crumpets, and provide replicas of Catherine’s sapphire engagement ring to all her guests?

No, not because she is a little bit wheels off (of course that can be debated), but because Aven loves nothing more than a love story—and writing them. Aven’s heroines not only find their soul mates, but a happily ever after. Her novels are humorous stories about the twenty-something girl, trying to figure out her place in the world—what are her dreams? Her fears? Is the career turning out as she planned? Aven resides in a Dallas suburb with her family. When she’s not writing, she enjoys cooking, working out, shopping, chatting with friends on Twitter and Facebook, checking out the latest outfit the Duchess of Cambridge is wearing, and hoarding episodes of Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsay in her DVR.
