When Prince William married Catherine Middleton, Aven Ellis not only took the day off of work to watch it live on American television, but hosted a party for 15 people to celebrate it the next day. So why would a woman in Texas decorate her home with the Union Jack, serve champagne and crumpets, and provide replicas of Catherine’s sapphire engagement ring to all her guests? No, not because she is a little bit wheels off (of course that can be debated), but because Aven loves nothing more than a love story—and writing them.
