Pat Fitzhugh

Born and raised in Tennessee, Pat Fitzhugh developed an appreciation for Southern folklore and ghost stories at an early age, and has been writing for almost 30 years. His more recent titles include "Ghostly Cries From Dixie," a compilation of weird and ghostly tales from the American South, "The Bell Witch Haunting," and "The Bell Witch: The Full Account," He also was a contributing author for "Weird U.S.," published by Barnes and Noble Press, and he has written many newspaper and magazine articles, editorials, and short stories. A frequent lecturer and commentator about ghostlore and Southern culture, Pat Fitzhugh has appeared on more than 200 radio interviews and television documentaries in his career.
Currently, Fitzhugh is working on "From Turkey Creek – A Memoir," his personal account of growing up on Kentucky Lake in rural west Tennessee. An early reviewer had this to say about Fitzhugh's upcoming memoir: "Often hysterically funny, sometimes wrenching, Fitzhugh's straight–shooting memoir is laced with fine storytelling, sharp wit, and acute observations of life in rural Tennessee." Also in the works is a sequel to "Ghostly Cries From Dixie," along with "Tales of the Haunted Natchez Trace," a collection of chilling stories about reportedly haunted locations along the Natchez Trace, a primitive footpath between Natchez, Mississippi and Nashville, Tennessee.
When he's not writing, you can find Pat Fitzhugh playing guitar, taking roadtrips, and fishing at Turkey Creek.
