Kathleen MacMahon

Kathleen MacMahon is a writer and a journalist with Ireland’s national broadcaster, RTE. This Is How It Ends is her first novel. After an early childhood in Central and South America, Kathleen grew up in Dublin. She studied History and English at University College Dublin, before going on to take a Master’s degree at Cambridge University. She began working for RTE shortly after graduating, and spent ten years as a radio reporter on the Morning Ireland programme and the News at One. She went on to report on foreign news for television. A grand-daughter of the short story writer Mary Lavin, Kathleen lives in Dublin with her husband and twin daughters.
