Judy Lynn Hubbard

Judy Lynn Hubbard is a native of Dallas, Texas, and a graduate of Southern Methodist University with a degree in Psychology. She has worked as a Medical Transcriptionist, a Medical Transcription Editor and as a part-time instructor for the Dallas Community College District in their medical programs. She acquired her love of romance novels at 14 when her sister gave her a Harlequin Romance to read. The novel was Jake Howard’s Wife by Anne Mather. From that point on, she has been an avid romance reader. Some of her favorite authors include Sandra Brown, Nora Roberts, Anne Mather and Janet Dailey. She also enjoys horror. Her favorite genre has always been romance because it encompasses the emotional types of stories that she likes to read and write. She promised herself that one day, she would be a published author for Harlequin and on November 10, 2010, after years of submissions and rejections, her dream was realized upon receiving a call from Harlequin Kimani Romance offering to publish not one, but two of her novels. She still has not come down from the high she has been riding since receiving “the call” and doubts that she ever will. Her first book, These Arms of Mine, is slated to hit the bookstore shelves in February 2012. She is, of course, already working on her second and third books. Nothing thrills her more than sitting in front of her computer creating new characters and stories, barely able to stand it until she knows how everything turns out in the end. Judy is a member of Romance Writers of America (RWA) and Dallas Area Romance Authors (DARA).
