Charmaine Gordon

Years of experience as an actor on daytime drama, in movies, commercials and on stage prepared me for the wonder of writing. During the run of an Off Broadway play, The Fourth Commandment, an idea for a story came to me and wouldn't let go. When the run ended, I began to write. After reading scripts for so many years, I found it easy to write dialogue, then paint in the scenery. Rejection is part of the life of an actor so when queries came back, I just sent out more. It didn't take too long before fate stepped in and a publisher expressed interest in my precious manuscript. Since then, just two years ago, I signed with Vanilla Heart Publishing and began a new career kissing the sweet life as an actor goodbye. I may not dine with Anthony Hopkins again or sing with Harrison Ford but I'm off to a good start in the solitary life of a writer.
