Genevieve Graham

Genevieve Graham

Genevieve Graham is the USA Today, Globe & Mail and Toronto Star  #1 bestselling author of eight Canadian Historical Fiction novels, including #1 INSTANT NATIONAL BESTSELLERS The Secret Keeper, Letters Across the Sea, Bluebird, and The Forgotten Home Child, which held the #1 position across the country for 11 weeks in 2020, and was the #4 bestselling Canadian novel of the year.

Genevieve graduated from the University of Toronto in 1986 with a Bachelor of Music in Performance on the Oboe, but did not pursue music as a career other than to teach piano to dozens of neighbourhood children. Instead, she held a number of positions, from advertising and marketing to fundraising, then left it all for her most challenging role as a stay-at-home mom. In 2007, Genevieve decided to try her hand at writing a book, using everything she’d learned from years of reading historical fiction. The following year, she and her family moved to Nova Scotia, where she was suddenly surrounded by Canadian history she knew nothing about. She dove into research, alarmed by what she’d never learned, and since then has made it her mission to bring Canadian history to life. She returned to Alberta in 2022 and currently lives by Lac Ste Anne with her husband.
