Dwight Murray

Dwight V. Murray was born and raised in the Piedmont of North Carolina. From an early age he heard tales that a large plantation once existed where his family then lived. His interest in the American Civil War grew from those tales which were handed down from generation to generation. So intriguing were they, he hoarded what he heard in a library deep within his mind. True or not, he thought they should be told. As the years passed, and with Red Oak, North Carolina, behind him, he set out in search of the world. His new family held his feet solidly to the good earth while the stories began to balloon in his head. But that growing family required that he settled upon a career. At Max Hayes School in Cleveland, Ohio, he found his life’s work. After a long career as a Preferred Restoration Contractor, and with his wife’s faith in him, he lay the tools of the trade aside, unlocked his dormant library and started writing.
