Fred Albert

Fred Albert is one of the most respected home design writers in the nation. A Contributing Editor for Metropolitan Home magazine, he has also written for House Beautiful, Home, Coastal Living, Luxe, Remodel, Western Interiors and numerous other magazines and newspapers, and his books include Barkitecture and American Design: The Northwest. Fred was Editor in Chief of Seattle Homes & Lifestyles magazine from 1996 to 2005, and went on to serve as Furniture Editor for About.com. A graduate of Yale, he lectures widely about design for both consumer and trade groups, and has appeared on such TV shows as Good Morning, America and The Christopher Lowell Show.
