Thomas Kaufman

Thomas Kaufman is an Emmy Award-winning motion picture cameraman/director. He is a two-time winner of the Gordon Parks Award for Cinematography, and has contributed his work to three Academy Award-nominated films. Thomas has shot hundreds of documentary, commercial, and fiction films. His clients include National Geographic, Discovery Channels, British Broadcasting Corporation, WGBH, WNET, and independent producers such as Charles Guggenheim, Barbara Kopple, and Michael Moore. Recent projects include OUTLAW for NBC, COUNTDOWN TO ZERO for Lawrence Bender, and interviewing Sir Derek Jacobi for BECOMING HAMLET. Thomas has shot HD with Varicam, F900, & the RED cameras, as well as 35mm and 16mm film cameras, P2 cameras, and a variety of HDV cameras. Name the format, he's shot it.
