Trent Jamieson

Trent Jamieson

Trent Jamieson is an Australian Fantasy writer, and winner of two Aurealis Awards. "Death Most Definite" is his first novel. It's set in the hot and humid city of Brisbane, Australia, and it's about working for the Grim Reaper - a well paying job, with some great perks, unless something goes wrong. Book Two Managing Death will be available in January 2011. He writes just about anywhere, on the bus - sometimes some interesting reading for the person sitting next to me! - in food courts, and libraries. But his favourite place is at home, with views of Mt Coot-tha, and a backyard where the odd wallaby or Koala puts in an appearance, a great, quiet place to write. Trent works as a teacher, a bookseller, and a writer, and has taught at Clarion South where he was described as "the nicest guy in Australian Spec Fic" which shattered the reputation he was trying to build as the "Hard Man of the Australian Writing Community".
