John Tytell
John Tytell was one of the first scholars and critics to recognize the significance of the Beats vision and style in his groundbreaking book Naked Angels: Kerouac, Ginsberg, Burroughs. He is also the author of Paradise Outlaws: Remembering the Beats, Ezra Pound: The Solitary Volcano, The Living Theatre: Art, Exile and Outrage and Reading New York. Tytell has taught literature at Queens College for more than 35 years. He lives in Vermont and New York City with his wife, Mellon, a photographer.
