Shirley Wells

Shirley lives in the beautiful rolling hills of the east Lancashire Pennines. It’s no surprise then that her mystery novels are set in the area β€” it saves on research trips. She and her husband share their home with a selection of deranged pets β€” currently two dogs and two cats β€” who often insist on cameo roles in her novels. It was while walking with the dogs across the hills, and spotting so many great places to hide bodies, that the inspiration for the Jill Kennedy and DCI Max Trentham series came. When she isn’t writing, Shirley enjoys housework, listening to music and watching TV (okay, one of those was a lie). She’s also a Burnley FC season ticket holder and is looking forward to seeing the Clarets at Wembley again.
