Sue Ellen Haning

Sue Ellen Haning is a thirty-eight-year-teaching veteran whose passion is teaching children to read. She has published articles on teaching and lives in west Texas. She is the mother of three children, Jarrod, Jake, and Jenny. Her life was drastically changed when she spent three months backpacking with her daughter the summer of 2005. The adventures, near misses, and other crazy notions her daughter, Jenny, kept her in for three months stretched Sue Ellen in every direction, especially outside her comfort zone. "Once I stayed outside my comfort zone long enough, I realized there is a new world out there, and I now reap the gifts of experiencing life on a deeper level."
