Lara Zibners

Dr. Lara Zibners received her B.S. degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California, San Diego before heading to The Ohio State University, where she was awarded a doctorate of medicine, cum laude. After graduating from medical school, she completed a 3-year residency in Pediatrics, followed by another 3 years as a fellow in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, both of which were at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio (recently voted among the top 10 Children’s hospitals and third in the nation for emergency services by Parents magazine.) After completing her training, she was awarded a position as Assistant Professor of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. In 2006 she retired her full-time position in order to relocate with her husband to Great Britain. Currently holding board certifications in Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine, as well as being fully recognized as a specialist in Paediatric Emergency Medicine in the United Kingdom, she divides her professional time as author, speaker and physician between New York and London. She and her husband are currently pursing their own family of little book eaters.
