Maya Sloan grew up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Her first novel, High Before Homeroom, will be released by Simon & Schuster Pocket Books next summer. She has an MFA in Creative Writing from Boston University, as well as a MFA in Fiction Writing from the University of Arkansas. Currently, Maya is an adjunct professor in literature and film at Pepperdine University
