Kate Brady

Kate Brady began writing novels in the closet, while pursuing her career as a music professor and conductor. Eventually, she went public with her writing and now leads a double life: Some days are spent creating music teachers at a university and others creating serial killers on a laptop. Her first book, ONE SCREAM AWAY, won the 2010 RITA® award for Best First Book and was a finalist for Best Romantic Suspense. Its sequel, LAST TO DIE, goes on sale September, 2010. Kate lives in Atlanta with her husband, two children, and an array of furry, feathery, and scaly things.
