Liza Donnelly
Liza Donnelly is a staff cartoonist for The New Yorker. Her cartoons have appeared regularly in the magazine since 1982, at which time she was the youngest and one of only three women cartoonists at the magazine. Ms. Donnelly’s work has appeared in many other national publications, including The New York Times, The Nation, Audubon, Glamour, Good Housekeeping, Cosmopolitan, National Lampoon, American Photographer, Scholastic News, Cobblestone, etc. She has drawn regular cartoon features for the websites of TONEaudio.com, Oxygen Network, Parenting Magazine and American Photographer. Many collections of cartoons include her work, and she has exhibited in numerous group shows throughout the country. Ms. Donnelly has been a member of the Authors Guild since 1984, and was a founding member of the Cartoonists Association. Ms. Donnelly teaches women studies and Cartoons in American Culture at Vassar College. She lives in New York with her husband, New Yorker cartoonist Michael Maslin, and their two daughters.
