Julie Ann Wallo

Julie Ann Wallo

With the exception of a short stint in Tennessee as a child, Georgia has always been my home. I attended the University of Georgia and Georgia State University. Calculus was my downfall. Losing heart and passion, I joined my Dad and sister in the family farm equipment business. It is located in Walton County. I am still there many years later. It is the best decision I ever made. I became a first time mom at age forty. What an amazing...and exhausting...experience! Our daughter changed my husband Bill and my life forever. She is truly a blessing from God. I enjoy spending time with family, writing, photography, and "making things". All of these things find a place in Mountain Creek-Stories From A Heart. Some of life's phrases reflected in my writing include "write about what you know" and "simple does not mean simple minded". I have been surrounded by antiques all of my life - some of them people, some of them things. I hope the feel of that reveals itself in the pages of this book. It took years, the birth of our daughter, and a chance photo caught by the lens of a camera to inspire words, placing Mountain Creek amongst the pages of a book. Mountain Creek - Stories From A Heart is a compilation of stories written for children four to eighty four. They are told with honeysuckle sweetness, dotted with humor, and written with the feel of days gone by.
