Noah Feldman

Noah Feldman, an assistant professor of law at New York University and an expert on Islamic thought, is the author of After Jihad: America and the Struggle for Islamic Democracy, published in April 2003. Before the book had even reached the stores, Feldman was approached by the Pentagon about joining the U.S. reconstruction effort in Iraq as an advisor on the new Iraqi constitutional process. He arrived in Baghdad in late April, and served on the political transition team until July, when the Iraqi governing council and its constitutional committee were formed.
